The BC Government has just announced a new affordable housing action plan to provide housing for all people of BC. The availability of affordable housing is a crucial issue in the province, particularly in urban areas where housing costs have skyrocketed in recent years. With rising rents and home prices, many low-income and middle-class families are finding it increasingly difficult to afford a decent place to live. This lack of affordable housing can have severe consequences, including homelessness, displacement, and financial hardship. It also affects other areas of life, such as access to healthcare, education, and employment opportunities. Therefore, there is an urgent need to address the shortage of affordable housing and find solutions that can ensure that everyone has access to safe, affordable, and stable housing.

The housing crisis is impacting people in every part of our province, impacting the quality of life in our communities, and limiting the potential of our economy.
